Nikon D3200 AF adapter?
I recently bought a Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300mm lens for my D3200, but I didn't realize that my D3200 has no autofocus motor and so can't drive the autofocus on the lens. Is there some sort of adapter I can get that will drive the autofocus on the lens?
Unfortunately no. It would be impossible to connect the adapter to the cameras autofocus programming. Added to which, any adapter would move the lens forward which would alter the focus range amongst other things.
Return the lens, if you can. You need an AF-S lens. Check the link for compatibility with your camera.
I don't suppose you have seen other questions about what telephoto to get for a Nikon. If you did might have noticed that I always say to avoid the cheapy cheapo versions of 70-300mm.
Believe me now?
No. Manual focus only.
None, no adapter.
Try returning the lens and replace with one that has a motor. You will have to add cash though.
No. You need to return the lens and buy one with the motor built in, or upgrade your body.

You should return it and make sure that the lenses you buy in the future are made by Nikon and are marked DX, AF-S.
AF-S= Auto focus, silent wave. Meaning that the motor (inside the lens is very quiet).
