Nikon d3100 zoom lens?

What is the best zoom lens from nikon for my nikon d3100? I did some search and i found the lens 55-200mm could anybody tell me what its zooming? I know that the lens 18-55mm zooming is 3.

The most versatile lens you can get is the Nikkor 18-200 vr. It has wide angle to telephoto and is probably the only lens you will ever need.

Skip the Tamron 55-200mm, the Nikon is better and 55-200mm is a cheap and excellent lens!
