Nikon d3100 dslr? How to get the water drops in my pics?

Meaning if my kids were playing in sprinklers and I take pics with my nikon dslr I would like those water drops to be seen., how do I do that? I have the normal lens that came with it and I bought the 50mm aperture lens

Water drops are a bit tricky try shooting with the light source(sun) from the side andif its a sunny day then I would suggest shooting with a smaller aperture around f11 and make sure your shutter speed is above 250/s which it should be pretty easy to stay above that but if not just up your iso a bit
