My camera is nikon D3100 DSLR… I've got SB700 flash… And i want to remotely work with sb600 flash… How can i connect between these two flashes? Is there any option to remotely communicate between these flashes without using a trigger or slave unit? Please can you give some explanations, relative tutorials or web sites to resolve my problem… Thanks all…

Yes, the SB700 can act as a master, you'll have to set it somewhere in its menu. I don't have it, so i can't tell you how exactly - but the manual that came with it can.

The SB600 needs to be set to wireless model using the custom settings menu, and its channel set to the same which you set in the SB700.
In order to do this, keep the two buttons pressed that are connected by the "CSM" indicator, and then set it to "on" at the menu option that looks like a curved arrow. Keep the same two buttons pressed again to leave the custom settings menu again. I may be mistaken, but i think you can set the channel using the right button then, you don't need the CSM menu for that.
