Nikon D3000 Watermark option?

I have a Nikon D3000 and I was wondering if there's a way to have the camera automatically add a watermark to my photos before they leave the camera? Doing it on the computer seems tedious.

I don't know of any camera that will do this. Software is the only way that I know of. Hey you want to do the work, then do the work.

Besides if you're thinking about trying to sell photos with a watermark that won't happen. When someone buys a photo they want it clean, no signatures, no watermarks, nothing.

Look on page 128 of your user manual.

It explains how you can add an Image Comment to all the files you shoot.

Many people put (c) 2011, Their Name, All right reserved. In there.

This will mean that all the images you produce will have this information on the files EXIF data.

Watermarking is only used to prevent people from stealing your images from the postings you have on the Internet.

You can add watermarking at anytime in your workflow by using a simple Action in Photoshop. You can use this action in batches too.

Just remember to rename all the watermarked files as a new name so you do NOT overwrite your original files, which you may later want to print without a watermark
