Nikon D3000 Looking for new lenes?
I'm looking for a zoom lens for a Nikon D3000. I want to take pictures of mountains waterfalls, moon stuff like that. I also have a child in cheer and would like a lens that I can take action pictures from the out side stadium stands and in side the gym stands. I have the kit that came with the DX 18-55mm. It is ok but action pictures are blury.
Well the action photos are going to be blurry unless you get the shutter speed up… Do you know how to do that. If you get the shutter speed to at least 1/500 to 1/1000 in bright light - sun for example, you'll be able to freeze any action shot with any lens. Trust me, a new lens won't fix that problem - it's all about shutter speed. If you don't know how to properly operate your camera I'd suggest some serious reading and learning. Then give the action shots a try. Here's an example of what I'm talking about. I shot this at 1/1000 in bright sun. The bird was about 20-feet above me.
I used my Canon 75-300 lens at full extension, hand held. Again I stress, it's all about the shutter speed.
Now, a new lens. Well the 18-200 comes to mind. I'm a Canon guy but I have a professional friend here in town who swears by Nikon products and often recommends this lens.
You have everything you need. What is lacking is this.
- I have a Nikon D 60 SLR film Camera will the Lenes work on the new Cameras?
- Using auto focus lenes on Nikon D80?
- Nikon D5100 lenes? Amazing quality?
- Nikon: New Body or New Lens? Usually it's new lens but let me know your thoughts?
- I have owned a Nikon D50 and Canon Rebel T1i and looking to upgrade. I'm looking at the Nikon D5600 and the Canon Rebel T7i
