Nikon D3000 dark pictures?
I have a nikon d3000. I'm not that experienced so I use it on auto mode. Whenever I take pictures indoors, they come out dark even if the flash is used. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Learn how to use your camera properly on manual mode and you can control how your photos come out. I'd recommend that you read a book called Understanding Exposure or take a class.
A pop flash can only do so much. If you are taking pictures of monster trucks, the camera thinks it lit everything up with the flash and made a fast exposure accordingly. But the trucks are so far away the flash had no effect and the picture just comes out dark.
If you are taking a picture of someone they will be lit up but again, the rest of the room is so far away that the flash has no effect on it and it looks dark.
The way to fix this is to understand the camera, come out of auto mode and you tell the camera what to do instead of letting it make the wrong decisions for you. These can be easily fixed by setting the correct exposure yourself.
Thats normal.
the flash that comes with the camara isn't that strong, it could be your lense tho, if its loose.
but if you go on programmed auto mode, and turn your iso, to around 1000 or so, adjust your shutter speed so your aperature isn't huge, or tiny. And it should help tons!
iso's are amazing, the higher, the more exposure.
youtube! Lol
