Wh is my nikon d60 taking dark pictures?
Wh is my nikon d60 taking dark pictures?
It might be the aperture, I just typed ' nikon d60 aperture' into google and lots of websites came up. I think it's a manual control so it's something you'll have to adjust yourself.
Not enough info for a real answer. You might start with a run down of what settings you are using, what you are shooting, where you are shooting, how you are viewing the images, how long this has been happening, what you've changed, etc. And maybe try a shot on auto everything".
Or here's a thought: RTFM

Manual
Dark pictures means its underexposing. What mode are you in? If you're in manual, you need to read the meter and either have a longer shutter speed, or increase the ISO or open the aperture (or a combination of all 3 - it depends on the light levels).
If you're in S mode, you may be setting the shutter speed too fast, the camera will open the aperture to try to expose correctly but the aperture may be not be able to open further (depending on the lens).
If you're in A mode, you may be wide open & the camera may not be able to lengthen the shutter speed further.
Your camera isn't taking dark pictures, YOU are.
Haha.
Do you honestly expect anyone to come up with a definitive answer for this for crying out loud.
Your camera does not take the pictures - you do. The camera is the tool you use
If you expect an answer then a little bit more information and possibly an example would be a good idea.
What mode is the camera in.
Do you actually know how the camera works
have you checked the settings
have you tried on different settings
what are the circumstances under which you are taking these pictures
etc etc
99% probability - Operator error
1% probability - Camera malfunction
Put the camera on P mode, and see if they're still dark. If they're still dark, then ask another question, outlining some more details.
If you have made no more effort to learn how to use your camera than you did with this question, then it is a wonder the camera is taking any photos at all.
