Nikkor 24-70 2.8f G-ED AF for Nikon D7000?

I have solid thought to buy D7000 DSLR. Well, i know kit lens is worst. So i have planned to buy nikkor 24-70 2.8f lens and after months later 80-200mm nikkor as well.
24-70 is far expansive but i don't want to compromise with quality of picture.
should i buy used lens from ebay or craiglist or i should buy some diff.lens under $1000?
please advise.thanks.

Added (1). 1. How about tamaron 28-85mm f2.8 lens instead of kit lens or 24-70 nikkor
2. How about nikkor used 28-70 f2.8

please advise

If it's your first DSLR you will at first struggle to encounter the limits of the kit lenses (which I consider very decent lenses). The nikon 16-85 is a nice intermediate option.

The 24-70 has only two weak points
- it's price
- the huge and intimidating front element.

I have the 18-105 VR (kit lens) and have been presently surprised by how well it does. But, if you're looking for 2.8 glass that offers superior optics and AF speed, I don't think you will be disappointed! You might want to hit the gym though as it is a very heavy lens.

I'd recommend looking at the 17-55 2.8 as well. Depending on your shooting style, that might work better for you with the D7000's APS-C sensor.

I'm personally a Prime lens kindof guy so I would have to recommend checking out some of the prime lenses as well. I use the following primes on my D90 more then I use any of my zooms: Tokina 35mm 2.8, Nikon 50mm 1.8, Sigma 85mm 1.4, Tamron 90mm Macro.
