My nikon won't stop making noises while filming?
My nikon digital camera d5100 won't stop making noises while filming. Its making the noises because when I move it needs to focus. The lens I'm using is the DX SWM VR Aspherical -0.28m/0.92ft 52. How can I make it stop doing noises?
You are the cause of the noise when shooting video
You need an isolated external microphone.
Since the cameras microphone is part of the camera, each time you touch the camera, adjust the lens focus or zoom, that microphone will record it.
This is true of ANY dSLR.
If you want to shoot video, you really need a video camera

You can't be filming. Your D5100 doesn't use film, you are shooting video.
You have three possible solutions.
1.turn off auto focus and focus manually
2.buy a lens with silent auto focus (they cost more)
3.use an external microphone to move away from the noisy lens. Not every dSLR has a microphone input, but if you have one, buy an external mic and plug it in.
