My nikon d40 flashlight stop working. I want repair manual for this?
For clarity, the electronic flash is NOT called a "flash light" A flash light is what one carries around to light dark places called a torch in the UK
The electronic flash (see your user manual) has a finite life span, usually numbered by the number of times you use it. If you use it a lot in consecutive shots and get it hot a lot, the life expectancy is reduced.
All you can do is have the flash bulb replaced by a repair shop.
There's NOTHING on your camera or any other camera that can be repaired by the user
None. Either bring the camera to an authorized Nikon service center or use an external flash.
The last option of course would be to buy another camera.
The D40 has a common problem with the flash which is relatively easy to fix if you are accustomed to working with small parts. Look on Youtube for the D40 flash repair.
Warning, there can be 350 volts across the flash tube which is enough to cause bodily harm (worst case, you'll die; mild case, you'll get a nasty surprise and/or a bloody hand from your arm recoiling and hitting something on your desk).
