My nikon d3100 won't open.what do i do? I put it in my back pack but i didn't drop it?

I thought it ran out of battery so I charged it but still it won't open. It's only a month since purchase. I feel miserable… Please help

Added (1). Could it be the battery? The body seems to recognize the battery though, because it blinks green whenever I insert the battery back. I charged it for like 2 and half hours I'm not sure but I took the battery out from the charger when it stopped blinking…

How exactly did you charge it?

hmm… It could be that you have a faulty battery. I suggest you contact Nikon and tell them the problem. Since it has been less than one year, you will have warranty on all errors in manufacturing.
