Lost camera lens, any kind of possible substitution?

I have a nikon D5100. I lost the lens cap, is there anything i could use as a substitute to keep the lens clean while i wait for another lens to come in the mail?

You can buy a replacement lens cap in Amazon.com for less than 10 dollars. Just make sure the diameter you need.

You won't hurt the lens if you don't have a cap for a few days. Many pros all but throw the lens caps away anyway as it is cumbersome for them to be putting a cap on and off all day long.

Even if you get a bit of dust on the lens, it won't show in the photo.

Just be a bit careful and don't go through any dust storms until you get another one.
