Help on nikon d500 swivel screen?

So i just got the nikon d5000, i was wondering how to use the swivel screen i want to see the image on the screen before taking the picture kinda like on camcorders you can see when you twist it, i hope you understand me

That function is called live view
The correct button to press should be stated in your manual.

Shambles lost all
On the back of the camera on the right just above the four way selector and OK button is a button marked LV. Press this for Live View.
