I'm looking for a good travel tripod that is not too heavy to carry around & won't put a strain on me. I'm traveling to Prague & I will be doing a lot of walking. I plan to carry my D90 with battery grip attached. The lenses I will be using is a Nikon 10-24 & a 28-300. That being said I need it sturdy enough for proper support. I would like to keep my budget under $150. I also prefer to have a ball head vs a pan.

they make a fine range of tripods. They aren't as expensive as gitzos or manfrotto or really right stuff; but benro tripods are almost as good. I have a benro tripod that supports my large format camera (weights about10 kg).

You can choose a smaller one that will support hte weight you need. Plus a smaller one as well.

In the 37 years that I've been a professional, the best tripod I've ever used for video AND still photography, in your price range, is the Sunpak Video Pro-M2.

That tripod should serve you well for your needs. It can easily handle your camera with any lenses you want to mount on it. It has a ball head with a bubble level, a quick release mount plate, very smooth pan and tilts, solid leg locks, rubber/spiked feet, a built in spreader, and can lock closed.

The last time I checked, it sold for under $150.oo from B&H or Adorama Camera in New York. Check out their websites for the best price.

You WON'T be disappointed. Trust me on that.
