Is the Nikon D3000 a better camera than GE X500 (digital)?
I have had the Nikon D3000 camera for a while now and i love how it takes pictures, but unfortunately mine was damaged, it no longer works and now i was thinking about getting a GE X500 (digital), someone tells me that this GE X500 is better than the nikon, is that true? See, i'm looking for a camera that takes pictures where it is focused on one object and the background is fuzzy and unfocused, so is it a better camera than the nikon? Or should i just buy the Nikon D3000 again?
You could buy a used D3000 or a new D3100 (the newest model). Either one is much, MUCH better than any GE camera.
I have a GE x500 camera and I think it's a decent camera for the price. You can switch to manual mode and control the aperture. It also has 16x magnifying power. The only issue I have with it is that in indoors settings and with low light, the pictures come out quite yellow and grainy. But for outdoors, it's a good camera.
The Nikon is about a thousand times better.
The GE is a low-end compact camera.
GE: They make excellent jet engines and kitchen appliances. NOT known for making camera.
".someone tells me that this GE X500 is better than the Nikon" This person is NOT a photographer and certainly knows nothing about cameras
Nikon: The D3000 (and replacement D3100) are dSLR's, have sensors that are over 15 times larger than a P&S like the GE and the Nikon's use interchangeable lenses from fisheye to extreme telephoto
I suggest you buy the D3100.
