It is a variant of the F mount… There are limitations as to which F mount lenses will actually work on the camera. Some of the old stuff can actually damage the camera, while other old stuff is usable with some or all of the features of the camera. Autofocus will only work with AF-S or AF-I lens types, metering and aperture control may or may not work with other lenses.
