Is Nikon d3100 a professional camera?
Is Nikon d3100 a professional camera?
See my answer to your D70 question. The D3100 is considered an "entry level" camera.
No, it's a consumer level dslr. Don't misunderstand, there are people doing for pay work out there with consumer level cameras, I'm one of them. But professional? No it's not.
Professional level cameras start at about $4, 000 and go up. The price tells you the level of quality, durability and level of photo excellence.
The only absolute difference between a professional and an amateur is that the professional gets paid.
That said, this isn't really considered a pro-level camera. 'Pro' cameras are usually in the thousands of dollars. However, you can take great pictures with this camera. It might be helpful to describe more what you are trying to achieve, if anything.
It's considered " entry level ", although a good one.
