Is my Nikon D5100 considered a single frame camera?
Going to a U of M football game. In the rules it states that only single frame flash photography is allowed. Will I be able to take my Nikon D5100 with me to take pictures or should I just leave it at home?
It's a dSLR. You can set shutter mode to single shot only. If the stadium lights are strong enough (I doubt it) you can shoot without flash. If blur occurs in your pictures, raise ISO from 400 little by little until satisfied. Check for grain (zoom during preview).
I think they are saying still photos rather than video, which is typical of sporting events.
You can set the shooting mode to single frame, which unless you have changed it should already be set. You will have to worries taking your camera to the game!
Yes you can take the camera. But please do not be one of those annoying people who uses their flash when it does nothing at that range.
