I'm looking to get a new nikon DSLR?

I've been interested in photography for some time and have had the nikon d80, but it doesn't do all that i want/need. ANy suggestions for dslrs preferably under 1000$? I like to shoot landscapes and am looking into filming too.

What do you mean the D80 doesn't do what you want it to? The only thing a new DSLR (D3100, D5100, etc) will do is allow you to record video… Digital cameras don't film video, they record video. Get the D3100 and a tripod for landscapes.

Do you have a lot of lenses? If so, the D7000 is a great choice. It shoots motion really well. If you do not have lenses, try the D3100 and build up from there.

For filming, get a camcorder
For landscapes, get a wide angle lens (if you don' t have one already)
