I'm looking for a wide angle lens for a Nikon D60?
I'm relatively new at lens buying. I want wide angle with the price range of 200-600
I know this is a couple hundred bucks over your price range, but check out the Nikkor 10-24…
Sigma 10-20
tokina 12-24
I have the Sigma 10-20mm, and it's a great little lens, however if I'd done my homework properly I'd probably have bought the Tokina instead as it's supposed to be even better!
Unfortunately wide angle lenses are not cheap because its much harder to produce them. When it comes to glass you certainly get what you pay for. Lenses will always hold their value and I always recommend saving up the extra money and get something great, you will love it much more, and can always re-sell it if you need to maybe only lose a hundred bucks or so.
On the nikon side I would look at the 14-24 2.8 start getting those 2.8's and you will be very happy with the results, plus that lens will work on a full frame if you upgrade in the future
