I have a Nikon D40, what type of lens would I use to get my pictures to look like this?

She uses a Nikon D90. And I'm not sure which lens.
But what kindof lens would I use to get that crisp, clear effect?
Just with my regular camera, they just look like normal pictures. I'd like for them to have more of a look to them.

Nikon D90 with a 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. There's nothing amazing about these shots. Your 18-55 kit lens will give you the same quality images if you proper lighting.

I personally prefer Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II Lens which helps you. It is really good.
*Approximately a 28-90mm lens in 35mm format.
*This lens produces high image quality with superb resolution at all focal lengths.
*Effectively minimizes the chance of flare and ghosting.
*Dimensions (DxL): 2.7" x 2.6" (69mm x 66mm)

These are shot with Nikon's 50mm f1.8. Badly shot at that.
- Do you think touch screen cameras like the Nikon D5600 make cameras like the Nikon D5 look like 70's computers without the mouse?
- How would you get a photo to look like this?
- How does she get her pictures to look like that? (Picture examples included)?
