I have a Nikon D3000 and I really want to get a wide angle lens. I found one on Amazon but it says that it is for D40 D50 D60 D70 D80 D40X… Will it still work with my camera? I don't see why it wouldnt…

Yes, if the lens is a Nikkor AF-S lens, it will work on your D3000

Do you mean this http://www.amazon.com/...002VSM7LE/

If it's more like the second one then yes it will work. If it's more like the first one then maybe not. What the first one is, is not a lens but an adapter. You will have to know the filter size of the adapter and the filter size of your lens. I don't know either of those number off the top of my head so you'll have to find them. It's a circle with a line though it.

P.S. Don't buy adapter filters. They don't do what they say and just make your pictures less good looking. If you want to go wider you will have to buy a real lens wider than 18mm. Such as a 16mm, 10-20mm or 6mm fisheye.

If the lens is a Nikon AF-S then it will be just fine on your D3000 - it will even auto focus. If its NOT an AF-S lens you can still use it but you'll have to manually focus it.
