How to use master commander flash with slave flash with nikon d5000?

I want to use it with nikon d5000 where the built in flash is not the commander, so i guess i have to buy a commander wireless flash. Is sb600 a commander flash or it is a slave flash under sb700. The master commander flash always have to be attached to the camera. So for wireless under the master what flash could i use as slave.sr200, sb400 or sb600
Added (1). So sb600 can't be use in nikon d5000 as a master commander

The SB600 can be used as a slave and controlled with the SB700

The 600 can't act as commander. The 700 and higher can. You can use anything from the sb-xxx lineup as slaves except the sb-400.
