How to ex out of the settings on a Nikon?

I recently got a Nikon D3100 and I can't ex out of the settings screen. It's really annoying because I have to look trough teh peep hole to take a picture.
does anyone know how I can get rid of it? Please (:
It's a Nikon D3100

Of course that's one of the principals of dslr photography, using the view finder… That's the way it should be.
If you want to turn off the menu screen and make it black refer to your owner's manual for instructions.

That little "peep hole" IS the way you use a dSLR to frame your shot and use the light meter to pick the correct exposure
If you hate looking through the viewfinder, they you really don't need or want a dSLR.
What do you mean when you say "ex out of the settings screen? There's nothing like that phrase in the lexicon of photography.
If you have your user manual, spend a few nights with it and your camera in hand learning how to use that fine fully adjustable camera.
Had you ever taken a class in photography using a 35 mm SLR, this and a host of other issues you will be addressing over the next few months would not be a problem
