Settings i want to use on my nikon d70s keep coming out to dark?
I do use the light meter to help me but when it is right the shutter speed is super slow and i want to take high speed shots
Added (1). But when i change the iso there's no difference
If there's low light, you need to boost the ISO
You've just found out you need more light than you think for a decent image and artificial light is puny compared to Sunlight.
The only thing you can do is raise the ISO and accept the increase in noise or increase the level of light your camera sees, they are the only two choices you have.
I recently did a shoot supposedly lit by candles, the light on their faces came from two flashguns with a warm gel fitted on fairly high power, but in the shot it looks as though the glow on their faces comes from the candles. The puny light from the candles is not part of the exposure the light on their faces is at least 100 times stronger probably a lot more.
