With a Nikon d7000, which is more sensible to buy?
1. 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED VR
2.AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR + AF-S DX VR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED
3.AF-S DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II
4.AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR
5.AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR + AF-S DX 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR
these are the packages that are offered, don't know which one to go for or, simply just buy the Nikon d7000 body and buy lens separately
The 18-105 is the standard kit lens for the 7000. Just get an 18-105.
With your set of choices, I would go for the last one. Longer range (18-300mm) with VR all the way.
It could be cheaper to buy the whole kit rather then just body. But some whole sale online sellers are giving some lens for free. Check on crazeez.com and go to Digital SLR. You might be able to find some at cheap price.
The D7000 with a 18-105mm is a good moderately priced combination. Even if you buy another lens like a 55-200, 55-300, 70-300, 70-200, 80-200, or 28-300 you still can use a 18-105 lens. I use the 70 to 105 range a lot so it is convenient to have that range in your normal zoom and your tele-zoom. I find that if your lens powers don't overlap at all then you need to switch lenses more often.
AF-S DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II will be a good option.
