How to attain perfect focus in nikon D3200?

I'm using a Nikon D3200. Whenever i click pictures, most of them turn out to be out of focus. Can anyone suggest me how can i correct this?

I'm going to take a guess here and suggest that you are experiencing blurred imaged cause by camera movement.

This is caused when you are using shutter speeds slower than 1/1250th of a second.

Make sure that you are not moving the camera when pressing the shutter release.

If indeed the lens is not focusing, you need to contact Nikon and have them help you.

Are you sure the camera is set to Auto focus and is not on Manual…

It could be camera movement but it also could be that you're still using all the focus points… A bad idea.
If you are you're allowing the camera to focus where it wants… Again, a bad idea.

Read your owner's manual and learn how to set your camera to a single focus point, dead center. When you've done that put that point directly over your subject, focus, reframe the shot while holding your half press and then fire.

I'm with Jim A - Multiple focus points are a curse.

You'd be surprised how many pros just lock the central focus-point and re-compose before shooting.

Oh, and keeping your shutter speed UP (one of the first lessons most of us ever learn) never hurt anyone either.

Page 35 goes into detail on focus.
Page 42 explains how to use manual focus, or in your case, how to check the lens is in autofocus.
The bottom of page 189 tells you how to deal with out of focus shots.

Reading and understanding these things will help you to correct your problem.

It discuses how to hold your camera, shutter speed, using stabilization, considering depth of field and a lot more ideas.

Just go in the menus and reset the camera back to factory default. Who knows what setting you've mucked up.

Then go through the user manual and put in your settings again.

It could be anything from: slow shutter speed; low ISO; low ISO cut off; the VR is off; you're not holding the camera correct; a warn out VR in the lens (I'm leaning towards this if the camera is older then 2 months).

AF on, VR on, keep still when pressing the button and most importantly, shoot under great lighting conditions.
