Nikon D3200 can't focus and makes clicking noise while attempting to focus in Auto mode?
Added (1). Nikon D3200 can't focus in AUTO mode and makes clicking noises while attempting to focus.
Which lens are you using?
If you are using an AF lens, and not an AF-S, then it won't autofocus on your camera.
If you are using an AF-S lens, there may not be enough light for the camera to autofocus properly. Get more light.
Is the AF switch engaged properly?
Has someone turned the focus ring while the lens was in AF mode?
The clicking noise may be the autofocus running the lens to both stops. Most likely you have picked a subject without enough contrast or maybe you are just not in enough light. Take it outside in the day and focus on something about 10 feet away. Again, you can't try to focus on a totally one color anything, like a white wall. Focus on something that has at least two colors. If that doesn't work, you need to contact Nikon for repairs.
