How good is the Canon 600D/Rebel t3i?

I'm considering getting this camera but am stuck between this and a Nikon D5100. Please help!

Added (1). Sorry i forgot to mention this. The camera i get would be used a majority for video making.picture taking is still important just not as much.

It's an awesome camera, but if you are doing primarily video you really should go with a video camera. There are still some issues with DSLR video like a 12 minute limit and overheating the sensor.
I think that your other option was the D5100? For video Nikon has the edge as they are the only camera that auto focuses while recording.

The nikon is better. And ^^^^ if you making a short movie it should be fine because you stop the video to change scenes it would have time to cool.
