How to remove a grid on the viewfinder of a Nikon D3100?

I can't figure out how to remove it!

Most people love the grid on their viewfinder. It aids in composing their shots.

Have you looked in your user manual, on page 41?

It's supposed to help you take better photos - but check your menu and manual.

I have never personally been able to figure that one out… Contact nikon to see if they have suggestions
