How to flashlight draw with a nikon d3100?

I know you have to be in a dark room, what what exactly do you need to do?
Dr. Iblis
You need to have a longer shutter speed, 10 seconds perhaps. Just set it up on a tripod, use the largest aperture you can, focus the camera on the wall with the lights on, set the lens to manual focus, shut the lights off, press the shutter, and draw.

Go onto manual and set it to a high shutter speed (the longer it is the better results you will get) also it doesn't have to be a dark room if you use a high aperture.
