How to trigger multiple flashes at once?
I own a Nikon D7000, and recently I've been interested in strobist work. I don't have a lot of money to spend and want to work with multiple flashes, so I purchased the cheapest ones I could find. I bought 2 no-name brands.
I realized after though that I knew nothing about how to trigger these two wirelessly, or if was even possible. I want to position the two flashes on certain points in front of my subject and be able to press the shutter and both flashes go off simultaneously.
Based on stuff that I've read, I would need some sort of receiver and a trigger. Although I still have no idea how to sync these two together.
Well you start by opening the window, preferably in reach of the driveway. U then throw the piece of *** out the window onto the driveway and run the *** over the piece of *** with your car
You get on Ebay and search for radio flash triggers. You can find a set with 1 transmitter, which fits in your hot shoe and tells the flashes when to fire, and 1 to 4 receivers, that attach to the flash and actually trigger the flash on command of the transmitter. Best part, you should be able to find a set with 2 receivers for $30 or less.
Or you can go to a site like B&H Photo and buy the exact same thing, with only 1 receiver, for $80.
Or Pocket Wizards at about $200 each, you need 3.
And then you do exactly what you said… More or less.
