How to set the aperture number on my Nikon?

I have a Nikon D3000, and I'm clueless as to how to set the aperture of the camera. Does anyone know how?

Read the instructions that came with your camera. If you do not have a copy, they can be downloaded from the Nikon website.

Press the button next to the LCD, the one that's the lowest and you'll have access to the aperture of the camera.
