Tv is Canon-speak!

Turn the mode dial to Manual (M) and use the thumbwheel to adjust shutter speed) not sure if you have to turn the wheel with the +/- button pressed as well to get shutter speed). Increase the shutter speed, past 30 secs (30") & the next setting you'll see will be 'bulb'.

When you have found the bulb setting, how to use it? You of course want to have the camera on a tripod. You could push the shutter release button, hold it, and release when done. Unless it's a super strong tripod, that will introduce some camera shake.
You want to have an ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control

Set your camera's shooting mode to remote with 2 sec delay. To start your exposure point the remote at the sensor and press the button. After two seconds the shutter should open. Point the remote at the sensor and push the button again to end the exposure. If you never tell it to end the exposure it will do so automatically in 30 minutes. If the long exposure noise reduction is on (the default setting), it will go through a cycle equal to your exposure time to detect and subtract hot pixels.
