How to make my Nikon D5000 shoot really fast?

I need it to shoot its fastest please help

Do you mean frames per second or shutter speed? What does the manual say? (4fps)

Shutter speed: put it on Shutter priority (S Auto) or Manual and select the shutter speed. 1/4000s?

Frames per sec: there should be a menu setting for multiple shots rather than single shots. And don't save as raw
