I want to buy a dslr cam?

I'm thinking of buying nikon d3100 or is there any other camera better than this at this price tag should i buy now or can i wait till nikon d3200 price drops. Please help

You can go for the sony a35 (which will be replaced by a37), but don't expect any price cuts on the d3200 anytime soon. The a35 has faster burst rate and higher resolution the d3100 and has an awesome video mode too.

Mmm have you looked at all the brands on the market. I mean it isn't only Nikon or Canon oh no there also is Sony and Pentax.

Go to the store HOLD the camera in your hands feel the grip.feel the weight.move your fingers over the buttons.

Go on youtube watch reviews, go on flickr and see pictures shot with the cameras by actual normal users.

Take your time to find out what YOU find important then. Then just go for it. At a point you reach that your choice is between two/three different models, make a choice and go for it.

Then shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot.use it. That is the only way to learn it. No matter if you buy Nikon, Canon, Sony or Pentax you'll enjoy it!

By the way if you are going to make videos with your DSLR. Sony now has SLT's.really really good at making videos. Image quality slightly behind Canon or Nikon due to the SLT design but great autofocussing that keeps on working during video.

Well… Nikon D3100 is a great DSLR for beginners but Nikon D3200 is much better thn D3100. I think you should wait a little and buy Nikon D3200.
Always buy new products: P… However if its urgent thn yes, Nikon D3100 is sufficient: D.
