Got Myself a Nikon D3100. But the RAW images clicked is not accpeted by Adobe Lightroom 3?
LR3 says the RAW image has come from a camera not recognised by the software. It recommended i update to LR3.2 n provided me with a link. I downloaded it, but while installing, it says error in installing. Did it 3 times, all the 3 times got aborted saying error. Now i'm stuck here without any software available to edit RAW images n forced to convert it to JPEG in camera n then edit in LR3. Please if anyone could recommend some solution. Is there any other Nikon user who faced this problem?
And is there any software out there which can help me edit my RAW n then convert it to JPEG.
That is strange.
My Nikon RAW images are perfectly at home in Lightroom 3.2.
The error seems to be your problem.
Call or email Adobe and have them step you through the 3.2 setup.
AFAIK there's no support yet for D3100 raw files. But that 3.2 update needs to be done right and while you're on the phone with them ask if there's already d3100 support.
If not, use view nx and convert to tiff as an intermediate step.
There's no D3100 support yet. See the compatibity list: http://www.adobe.com/...raraw.html
For the moment, you will have to switch to using another converter that supports it until ACR/LR knows it. So far I only know that Bibble supports it besides Nikon's Capture NX.
Some cameras have a specific raw file that needs to be converted if not. RAW already. Use the CD it came with.
