Good quality and focusing cameras?
I want a really nice quality camera like this;

but those are very expensive.
are there any good quality, great focusing nikon or canon [or any other good brand] cameras under $400?
again, i'm looking for something that has very good quality and focus.
[i don't want one off of ebay or dealdash or anything like that.]
For a good quality camera let me recommend the Pentax line. I own a Pentax Kx which while discontinued, offers an economical entrance into DSLR photography. However economical to me is not economical to your figure of $400.00. My camera cost $550.00 new! And the newer model is a couple hundred more expensive. The Pentax has the stabilization feature built into the body of the camera. What this means in terms of dollars is that the accessory lenses are less expensive than Canon & Nikon, PLUS the Pentax will accept older lenses originally designed for film cameras! Finding a used Pentax lens could therefore be a great find in terms of cost. Your best bet is probably to check in with B&H Photo or Adorama in New York for used cameras in great condition.
