Good Collor correction programs?

Ok so i need a program to put my videos from my nikon d3100 to collor correct, i have adobe after effects the old version, but its really slow! I don't think the program can handle the video quality, so if you guys have any idea of a good color correction program FREE! To make music videos, ecc!
