Get a better canon or a good nikon?
Right now I have a Canon Rebel t1i slr. I have about 5 lenses also. I was thinking about getting the new Canon 60d. I read that it was really good with video and it was decent with photography. If i'm gonna pay a lot of money for a camera I want it to be a huge difference between that new one and my t1i. (I do know that lenses are more important). I was also thinking of selling everything over to a Nikon d7000.It looks like a great camera with a lot of AF points.
I was thinking about getting the Canon 60d as either a replacement for my t1i or to have my t1i be my second camera when I go to take pics at concert (band photographer).
what should I do and what do you think is the better camera?
Is the canon 60d worth the leap? And is it better so i can use two lenses at once at shows?
or should i just switch to nikon?
Let me ask you a question. You already know that lenses really make the difference. So why would you consider getting rid of an excellent Canon camera? You have all the gear, you obviously know how to use it, so what's not to like?
Don't get caught up in what we regulars like to call the mega pixel myth. That is, more is better. It's not true and a bunch of marketing fodder for the makers so they can get you to spend more.
If you want video I do understand that. In that case why not just buy a video camera instead. You'll save a heap of cash and still get video.
The 60D will give you better noise performance (much better) with 3 more megapixels (same image quality). It has better video and an articulating screen. Body is built better and it has a top LCD screen. You could also consider the 7D.
