First DSLR for a beginner?

I'm completely clueless about photography, but would like to start learning from now on with a medium budget.
If I'm only seeking to pursue photography as a HOBBY and will only be using the DSLR with the BASIC KIT, which seems to be more appropriate?
1. Nikon D3100
2. Nikon D90
3. Nikon D7000
Yes, I'm only looking at Nikon as of now:3
The most important aspects of consideration:
Grasp and graphic.
Thanks a lot!
Added (1). Of course, D7000 is the best out of the three. I'm not so sure if it would be beneficial if I use it with my present skills and the basic kit though.

If you are looking at just doing photography, all of them are great.
Best would be for you to get either the D90 or D3100 and spend the rest of the money on a a nice lens or two. I say get the D90 kit (comes with 18-105mm) and all the needed accessories. Save the rest of the money for another lens in the future. After a month or two of avid shooting, you will get a general idea of what you like to shoot, and with that leftover $500 you can get a decent lens for whatever that may be.
for portraits, the Nikkor AF 50mm f1.4
for macro, the Nikkor AF 85mm
for wide angle, the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
etc
It is VERY crucial that you learn how to use your camera correctly- to be able to use it to the fullest of its ability. Get a book, such as "Understanding Exposure" and possibly take a class

Well, you are missing out one camera from the list, and that camera is for hobbyist and enthuasitc or for those who are serious about photography and are learning photography.
that's nikon d5000, it has everything you will ever want. Consider getting this one, even you look at canon, and has listed canon, i would have recommend you this camera.
This camera is just loved by many people, affordable and excellent performer and many times it outperforms older nikon d90.
with this you might also consider getting one prime lens, 50mm 1.8f, a great lens for all occasion.

Either one of those will be fine. Look at the differences in features and see which one you think will suit your needs best.
Not sure what you mean by grasp and graphic. Are you talking about histogram capabilities?
