Dropped my nikon d3100 now it won't take pictures it just makes a hum sound?
I was putting it in the camera bag and it fell on a wood deck. The lens is crooked but I have taken the battery out and put it back in and changed to a differant lens and it still will just make a hum sound when you try to take a picture. The video camera part of it works fine
The shutter has jammed.
You have killed your camera. A crooked lens shows that the lens mount on the camera is damaged as well.
All you can do is take it to a camera repair shop and see what they say.
In the future, you must take better care of your camera
Poor camera. Sounds like something is jammed inside. Sounds like it's trying to work, but just can't quite get there. Take it to the camera doc. They will give you a quote. You may be better off buying a new camera. So sorry.
Bring back to the store for repair.
