See the little "AF" in the name of the lens? That means Auto Focus so yes.

NO!
It is an AF lens, but this just means that it supports autofocus in general. It does not imply that it has an internal autofocus motor though, so it depends on the camera body to have one.
Among the nikkor lenses only the AF-S and AF-I (not to be confused with A-i) ones will autofocus on the D5000. Third party manufacturers use different designations.
