Does a nikon E series 100mm 2.8 lens autofocus on my nikon D200?
Just wanted to know if this lens will auto focus on my d200 and if so do i have to change any settings on my d200?
No. From what I can gather, they are pretty much AI lenses, which are completely manual.
Go here: http://www.dpreview.com/.../page2.asp Then scroll down to where it says Usable Lenses.
However, since the Nikon E Series 100mm f2.8 lens was designed as a manual focus lens it won't auto focus on any Nikon camera.
All E series lenses are manual focus only. They are a simpler version of the manual F mount lenses, without the AI coupler.
It is still a perfectly good lens, and if you are using it for macro, you don't want auto focus anyway.
