Does the Nikon D90 have selective colour?
Also what other effects/features does it have?
Help is muchly appreciated, Thanks.
Added (1). There actually is a camera that does it, Its called the Nikon D5100!
You are much better off just taking a colour image and then you can make any part of it colour.
The D3100 selects just one colour, so someone with a blue shirt, for instance, could have their shirt (and anything else the same colour, no matter where in the image it occurs) brought back to colour, but the face would still be B&W. It's very limited compared to what any program with layers can do with any colour image.
Although some cameras DO do selective color, the D90 is not one. I have one camera that has that ability (Canon G10) and I find it very sloppy. It is much better to do it in post processing.
You mean B&W photo with a little colour?
no camera does that… You need to take a colour photo and run it through some image editing software that has selective colouring… So you can choose the colour you want…
[edit - trust nikon - sounds like a pointless option… B&W and colour leveling i can understand, but selective colouration? Nope, very silly… ]
Nikon D90, no. Pentax K-x, yes.
I give up…
If this type of nonsense is what concerns you, then you have no reason to have a camera such as the D90. Get some point and shoot which has the silly effects that teens with no clue about real photography love.
