Does the Canon Rebel T3i have selective color mode?
Next month i'm going to purchase the Canon Rebel T3i. From my own experience i found that Canon takes crisper pictures. I was the comparing the T3i with the Nikon D5100 and i noticed that that D5100 had selective color mode which i thought was pretty cool. I was just wondering if the Canon Rebel T3i offered the same feature.
No, but it is better to do those kinds of color effects in a photo editing program, whether it be converting a photo to B&W, sepia, or doing selective coloring. This is because you can have the original copy of the photo as well as the edited copy just in case.
And here's program where you can do selective coloring:

It is called GIMP, and it's essentially a free alternative to Photoshop. And here is the tutorial for selective coloring:
To follow up on the previous responder, sharpness can depend upon many things, including in-camera settings.
IMHO, no one should choose one camera over the other [T3i & D5100] based on a quick/simple assessment of the sharpness of the photos.
Be very careful about how you assess the ability of each camera to produce sharp photos.
This is a complex subject that deserves more discussion that I will present here. Do your homework and research this question further, and be sure that you understand all the factors that affect sharpness.
