Does the nikon D60 film (video record)?
My friend is telling me her Nikon D60 doesn't film but my media & tech lecturer has told me it does…
Help please! If the camera does film, how do I get it to that setting?
Filming is actually using film to create a movie/video. Recording is the correct term
the Nikon D60 does not record video.
Your friend is true. Nikon D60 doesn't record any videos but Nikon D90 does. Your Lecturer might have misunderstood D60 and D90.
The D60 uses a CCD sensor. (So does the D3000). This is fine for stills, and this kind of sensor can do videos in compact cameras, but it seems like a CCD sensor of the size used in DSLR's can't handle video. The DSLR's that can do video use CMOS sensors, such as the D90, D5000, D300s, D3100, and D7000.
Actually the D60 has a kind of accelerated motion video function. You can shoot a series of still images, and the D60's Retouch menu can assemble them into a short, fast.silent movie.
Dslr d60 is not record video and display view camera not working
