Does anyone else have a Nikon Lens buying addiction?
No, I'm not a compulsive shopper by any means, I'm actually pretty minimalist when it comes to buying anything else even clothing. Yet, when it come to purchasing or at least contemplating a purchase of a new pro series Nikon glass, I right away go crazy. The dollar amounts no longer mean anything to me when it comes to Nikkor lenses. I don't even have a pro Nikon body (just a d7000 and d80). I rent, I don't have a car, I rarely buy expensive clothing, I don't even have a personal computer or gaming console. I have a good paying job to provide for all that but all I care for is to get the latest Nikon glass and I'm starting to eye the awesome Leica as well. Anyone else share this weakness?
Nikon is good. Karl Zeiss is also something I would consider collectible.
I have a different, just-as-odd addiction.
I collect earbuds. They All sound different!
As long as you use them all to create images, I don't see an addiction.
I have 12 Nikkor lenses and four Leitz lenses
I have been buying them since the 1970's
I don't have an addiction buying lenses; too expensive; but cds of old music I never stop buying.
It's only an addiction if it negatively affects other aspects of you life.
I have a kit lens, a decent telephoto, and a fast normal prime. Other than perhaps an ultra wide angle lens, I don't feel the need to buy any more.
