Does a nikon D3100 take good videos?

If somebody maybe has a sample video that would be great. I'm just looking for a great camera and good video camera and I though why not just have both?

By the way you have worded the question it seems that the important thing to you is stills, if that the case then it will be great for you. You can only record 10 minutes of video at a time, and it will create a separate video for each time you record. The audio is mono. The video format is MP4 as a MOV file, not every editing package will edit this video, so you may need to convert the video to edit it.remember that if you want to edit the video, you will need a fast computer to handle the compressed video format.

Remember its not a video camera its a stills camera that can take video. If you are looking for very high quallity video then you need to go for a dedicated video camera.
